The Reds reserve trio of Nathan Joynes, Rob Atkinson and Simon Heslop are set to go out on loan to the Conference. Atkinson who was on loan at Scarborough last year, and Nathan Joynes are set to join Halifax Town on loan for a month while Simon Heslop, who was on loan at Kidderminster for the majority of last season is set to join up with Ryan Laight and Tom Harban at Tamworth.
Meanwhile, the Reds have taken former Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End goalkeeper David Lucas on trial. Lucas, 29 left Wednesday in May after 62 appearances for the Owls. Boss Andy Ritchie told the official website: "David has come in and will train with us next week. Hopefully, if things go well, we may try and get him into next week's reserve team game"
Also on the subject of trialists. Phil Mulryne played the full game against Nottingham Forest reserves today a game which the Reds lost 2-1.
