Barnsley have confirmed there has been no approach from Blackburn Rovers to speak to Reds manager Keith Hill about their vacant managerial position.
Hill, 43, has been linked to the job at Ewood Park, made vacant by Steve Kean’s resignation on Friday. Hill spent five years at Rovers between 1987 and 1992 making nearly 100 appearances.
But Oakwell officials have said the club’s Indian owners Venky’s have not been in touch. A whole host of names have been linked with the vacancy, including Tim Sherwood, Alan Shearer, Henrik Larsson and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
