Barnsley will not be offering out any new contracts until the club knows which division they will be plying their trade in next season.
Barnsley have been on an excellent run since entering 2013 bottom of the Championship, collecting 16 points from a possible 24 which has lifted the Reds two points clear of the drop zone.
However Saturday’s 5-3 defeat at Bristol City was a warning that there is still much work to do over the remaining 13 matches and Barnsley director Don Rowing told the Star that is all the club are concentrating on.
“We’ve got to keep pushing right until the end of the season,”
“We’re not going to be looking at contracts at this stage, we’ve got more pressing matters.
“A lot depends on whether we stay in this division. We’re confident we will and then we’ll be in a better position to offer contracts."
