Marcus Pedersen has capped off a fantastic weekend by being called up to the Norway squad for their World Cup Qualifiers against Cyprus and Switzerland.
The 23 year old netted his first goal for Barnsley yesterday, on his home league debut in the 2-1 victory of Huddersfield and has now being called up to his national side for only the second time in the last six matches.
The Norwegians, who have only ever quailed for four major tournaments, the last of which was Euro 2000, are still in with a shout of qualifying for their first World Cup since France 98 as they sit fourth in Group E with two wins, two draws and two defeats from their six matches, two points off Albania in second.
Pedersen, who has three caps, has been called up to the squad for the first time in the 2014 World Cup Qualifiers.
