Team News
Stephen Dawson has recovered from his ankle ligament injury, but like on Tuesday he will have to settle for a place on the bench. Reds boss David Flitcroft could stick with the same side that started the victory over Brighton in midweek although Chris Dagnall is pushing for a start after coming off the bench to earn and then score the winning penalty. Tuesday night’s game was the first time Dagnall had not started a game since Flitcroft took over.

Interesting Stats:
Barnsley and Watford have won 19 meetings apiece in all competitions, but the Hornets edge the league meetings 19 to 18.
Barnsley have scored one more goal than Watford, leading 62 to 61.
Watford gained their biggest ever win over Barnsley in their meeting back in December when they triumphed 4-1 at Vicarage Road.
If they win at Oakwell tomorrow it will be their first double over Barnsley in 13 years.
They are also searching for their first victory there since that season. Allan Neilsen’s strike earnt a 1-0 win back in December 2000.
In the last nine meetings there have been six winning scorelines, with Watford’s 4-1 triumph in December the first time it has been by more than one goal.
Barnsley have won double the amount of Oakwell meetings than Watford (12 to 6) but have drawn the last two with their last home triumph coming back in 2010 when a solitary Emil Hallfredsson goal moved the Reds into the heady heights of ninth in the February.
Barnsley and Watford have identical records in the last 10 league games - 6 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats. Barnsley have scored one goal more than the Hornets.
Goals is something that has not been in short supply for Watford this season. They have smashed in 72 in their 37 league matches. Nobody in the top five levels of English football have netted more.
Unfortunately for them they also have a tendency to see goals go into their own net too. The 47 they have conceded is the joint highest in the top six.
Worryingly for Barnsley, Watford’s away form is exceptional. Gianfranco Zola’s side have won 10 league games on the road this season- the highest in the Championship, their five away defeats is the lowest and nobody has scored more than their 39.
They are undefeated in their last three away games, winning two and have lost just one of the last 11.
Last weekend’s 2-1 home defeat to Blackpool was Watford’s first defeat in eight and they have collected more points than any other Championship side in 2013- 26.
If the two teams draw tomorrow, not only will it be only Barnsley’s second in 11 games but will be Watford’s 500th away draw in league football.
Barnsley’s recent home form is almost as good as Watford’s on the road and tomorrow they are searching for their sixth win in seven at Oakwell.
They have though lost eight times at Oakwell this season, only Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough have more home defeats and their tally of 20 home goals is the lowest in the division.
The Reds are on the division’s current longest scoring run of 14 successive league games.
But they are looking for their first clean sheet in ten matches.
They are the only side in the division to have won every match in which they have kept a clean sheet. They have not drawn 0-0 since the final day of last season.
Both sides are better away from home than in front of their own supporters and both have scored six more away goals than home goals- Watford 39 to 33 and Barnsley 26 to 20.
If Watford were to lose tomorrow however they would an identical home and away record- 10 wins, 3 draws, 6 defeats.
