Administrators Robson Rhodes have rejected an offer from an undisclosed group to take the club out of administration.
A spokesman on the official website said: "I can confirm that we have received an offer for the club but it was not at the level we require to take the club out of administration,"
"The offer put to us would not have taken the club forward sufficiently to be acceptable.
"We have turned the offer down and are still negotiating with the interested party to see if we can improve the offer and bring it up to a level that is acceptable to bring the club out of administration."
