Former Sheffield Wednesday goal-keeper Ola Tidman is set to become the mystery keeper given his chance to impress Andy Ritchie at Halifax on Saturday.

Reports in the Barnsley Star are suggesting Tidman and another unnamed keeper will get their chances on Saturday as Ritchie steps up his search for Scott Flinders.

Tidman played for Wednesday between August 2003-January 2005 but made only 15 appeaeances. He played for Stockport before joining the Owls and is currently at Midtylland

Meanwhile trialists, keeper Kyle Letheren and midfielder Colin Healy are set to be offered contracts after impressing Ritchie.

Once the goal-keeping situation is sorted it is likely Ritchie will then set his sights on a new striker.

Local boy Geoff Horsfield has been made available by Sheffield United but a loan deal looks out of the question after Blades boss Neil Warnock turned down a loan approach from Coventry. Warnock is keen to recoup some of the £1m he splashed out on Horsfield just 5 months ago.
