Reds boss Andy Ritchie has stated he could plunge into the loan market before tomorrow evening's deadline.

Ritchie has until 5pm tomorrow to seal a short-term loan or he'll be forced to wait until January.

With only 3 fit strikers at the club this could be an area to look at.

Ritchie exclusively told the Official Site:

" I have been on the phones all yesterday (Monday) and will be again today (Tuesday) because I want to bring someone in before Thursday afternoon. We have to get someone in before 5.00pm otherwise we would have to wait until the transfer window opens in January.

It will be a busy couple of days. I am not going to reveal any names or even positions at this stage because we do not want to lose out on those players who are available but it is going to be a hectic week.

I will also be speaking to Chelsea this week about the situation regarding Steven Watt so we will know about that before Saturday".

One play that will not be joining the club is QPR midfielder Aaron Brown.

Brown who is 25 played in a behind closed doors match but Ritchie told the Official Site he doesn’t think he’s ready for the first team.

" We had a look at Aaron after Rangers gave us permission to play him in a game.

"But I don't think he's ready to play in the first team and I need players to be ready to step into the side and Aaron isn't there at the moment."
