Better late than never as Barnsley today finally brought midfielder John O’Sullivan to Oakwell.
The 21 year old was a strong permanent target for The Reds in the January transfer window for former manager Danny Wilson but this was scuppered on deadline day when the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international signed a new contract at Ewood Park.
Despite Wilson’s removal as manager the club has kept tabs on a player who had loans at Southport and Accrington Stanley in 2014 and after finding immediate first team appearances would still be limited, he has appeared only once for Rovers, on the final day of the 2012-2013 season, he has agreed to come to Oakwell for an initial month, taking him to Saturday 21st March and he will wear the number 31 shirt.
