Young winger Cameron Park has returned to parent club Middlesbrough after the Reds cut short his loan spell.
The 19-year-old joined on the 23rd August at the same time as Danny Drinkwater but only made three appearances for the Reds, two coming from the bench.
Boss Keith Hill has already said he plans to bring in two players on loan before the deadline, and Park's departure may open another space in the squad.
Park spoke about his "nightmare" whilst on loan with the Reds:
“I played the Watford game for Barnsley and then I came down with a chest infection.
“That cleared up and I then got a throat infection. I cleared that up and I don’t know what's up with me now, some sort of virus I think.
“I’ve been ill on and off now for six weeks. It’s been a nightmare. I’ve been going into training for a day or two and then not been able to do more than that, just laid up in bed, there’s nothing else I could do.”
“It was my first loan spell and I was looking forward to it,” said Park.
“I was looking forward to getting a few games under my belt and gaining some experience.
“I still got a couple of games but not as many as I would like.
“Everybody down there was quality, top class,” he added.
