Barnsley have received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s massive game at Oldham with the news Ben Pearson will remain at Oakwell for the rest of the season.
The 20 year old midfielder joined on loan from Manchester United in January and has emerged as one of The Reds best players, especially in the current run of five successive wins.
Barnsley have won eight of the 12 games Pearson has played and many supporters were concerned that his departure through illness after 57 minutes on Saturday might be the last they would see of him in the Red shirt.
Those fears have now been allayed and Pearson will remain a Red at least until after the final game of the regular season against Rochdale on Sunday 3rd May.
