Young Reds defender Luke Potter requires a knee operation after a cartilage tear and could be out for a month.
Potter sustained the injury in the Reds' 4-1 reserve win over Sheffield Wednesday last week but didn't feel the stiffness until the day after in training.
Mark Robins spoke to the Star about Potter's ailment:
"It's a blow for us, but the only blessing is that we've got an international break coming up so it's the right time for Luke to have the operation," Robins said.
"It's never ideal when a player gets injured and it does leave us a little light in that department, but I have got players who can play in that position."
Another player on the treatment table is Liam Dickinson who is sidelined with an ankle injury.
