Stoke manager Tony Pulis hailed Gerry Taggart after he made an impressive debut against West Ham on a month's loan from Leicester earlier in the week.
Gerry starred in a shock 1-0 win at Upton Park.
Potters praise Taggart display
Pulis revealed: "We had to persuade him to start the game because he had not played for four weeks and felt he may not be up for it but we spoke to him on Monday and he agreed to give it a go.
"He kicked it, he headed it, he cajoled those around him and gave us exactly what we have been missing for much of the season.
"He was a real leader out there."
