Rambo Rocked!

Peter Ramage looks to have played his final game for Barnsley after a scan on his injured hamstring today has sidelined him for the rest of the season.

The 30 year old had developed a good partnership with skipper Martin Cranie- who is also currently out with an injured hamstring- and made 23 appearances for Barnsley before being forced off 54 minutes into the 3-0 defeat to Leicester on the 11th March.

He surprisingly returned 11 days later in the 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth but had to go off with seven minutes remaining with a recurrence of the problem.

Today the on loan Crystal Palace man tweeted:

Scan not great, looks like season over, I'll fight in gym to play part again, until then I'll be #1 fan, giving boys everything to help!

With no news yet on Cranie’s return manager Danny Wilson may dip into the loan market before tonight’s 11pm deadline as The Reds only have Jean-Yves Mvoto and Lewin Nyatanga to call on for the remaining nine games of the season.

Meanwhile young striker Danny Rose has rejoined former Reds boss David Flitcroft on loan at League Two Bury.

The 20 year old who has rose through the Barnsley Academy was handed his debut by Mark Robins in a 2-2 draw with Doncaster in April 2011 and has made 15 appearances for the club- 13 of which coming as a sub.

Rose scored his first goal for the club under Flitcroft in a 1-0 FA Cup win against Burnley in January 2013 and followed it up two weeks later with a last minute equaliser at Ipswich.

Rose will remain at Gigg Lane until the end of the season.
