Scarborough's assistant manager Neil Redfearn says he wants another chance as a manager.
The midfielder had two short spells in charge at Halifax before joining the managerial team at the McCain Stadium.
Still playing at 39, Redfearn, is one of the Conference's leading scorers this season with nine goals and getting rave reviews.
Redfearn wants to be the boss
Redfearn told BBC Radio York: "I never really got given a proper crack at Halifax Town and the bits I did I had reasonable success.
"That obviously whets your appetite to go and have a proper go at it. "
With the exception of maybe Danny Wilson, I reckon bringing Redders back to Oakwell as manager would be the fans choice.
Are you listening Mr Ridsdale?
