Reds Add Steele To Backline

Well we hoped for Thomas Sorensen but it now looks as though 23 year old former Manchester United youngster Luke Steele will be handed the task of stopping Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard and the rest at Anfield on Saturday after Reds boss Simon Davey swooped to sign the keeper on an emergency loan from Championship rivals West Brom.
Steele started his career at Peterborough before moving to Old Trafford. He joined West Brom in 2006 in a deal that saw Tomasz Kuszczak move in the opposite direction. He has found opportunities limited at the Hawthorns however due to the fine form of Dean Kiely and has made just two starts for the Baggies. He made his name at Coventry where he made 37 league starts.
Steele also won the FA Youth Cup with Manchester United in 2003.
Whether he can keep out Liverpool, we shall have to see...
