The Reds have wasted no time in finding a replacement for outgoing striker Tom Bradshaw by bringing in Fulham striker Cauley Woodrow on an initial loan deal.
The move for the 23-year-old will be made permanent in January, a similar loan-to-buy deal that saw Bradshaw join Millwall yesterday.
The six-foot forward came through the ranks at Luton Town before being snapped up by Fulham in 2011, where he made 54 appearances and scored 8 goals.
He spent loan spells with Burton Albion, Bristol City and Southend United. He has also represented England at U17, U20 and U21 levels, scoring a total of 7 goals, earning 17 caps in the process.
He tweeted after completing his move to Oakwell:
@CauleyWoodrow @BarnsleyFC fans thanks for all the welcome messages I am really looking forward to getting going and helping this team hopefully achieve big things!!!
