Barnsley FC have today confirmed their first three pre season friendlies and they will be away to Bradford City, Gainsborough Trinity and Buxton.
The game with Bradford will take place at Valley Parade on the Saturday before the beginning of the season (1st August). The last time the Reds visited Valley Parade they came away 5-3 winners after extra time in the FA Cup in December 2005. Paul Hayes and Martin Devaney both scored twice and Paul Reid grabbed the other.
The Reds will go to The Northolme to face Blue Square North side Gainsborough on Tuesday 21st July, with a kick off of 7.30pm.
But the curtain raiser of pre season looks to be another trip to Silverlands to face Unibond side Buxton. The Reds ran out 4-1 winners there last season with two goals each for Jon Macken and Jamil Adam.
More pre-season news as it is confirmed.
