Reds face goalkeeper crisis after Turnbull injury blow

The Reds have massive goalkeeping problems after Ross Turnbull has suffered a broken hand during training and will be out until the end of April.

Paul Hart told the Official Barnsley FC Website: "Ross is going to be out for around eight weeks after breaking his hand.

"We will have to see what options are available."

Republic Of Ireland international Nick Colgan is out on a season loan at Dundee United and unable to be recalled.

Young Aussie keeper David Scarsella is currently on trial with Torquay United and seemingly out of favour at Oakwell leaving just Reserve team keeper Scott Flinders to possibly make his first team debut against Peterborough on Saturday unless Paul Hart can bring in a quick loan signing.

Ironically, former Reds keeper Andy Marriott who could certainly have done a decent job for us has signed for Torquay this afternoon after agreeing an 18-month contract.
