Barnsley gained a respectable 0-0 draw at fellow strugglers Southampton this afternoon. Long term injury sufferers Heinz Muller and Anderson de Silva returned to the starting eleven at the expense of Luke Steele and Jon Macken.
And it was the giant German who kept the Reds in it with saves from Adam Lallana, David McGoldrick, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Tomas Pekhart. The Reds missed a good opportunity late on when Iain Hume hit the side netting after rounding the keeper.
