Stoke transfer-listed striker Chris Iwelumo is surprised that the club have turned down a bid from the Reds to sign him.
Reds Iwelumo offer rejected
Gudjon Thordarson, who signed Iwelumo when in charge of the Potters, is reported to have made a £50,000 offer for the 25-year-old.
However, it was rejected and the forward is now resigned to seeing out the remaining months of his City contract in the reserves, before becoming a free agent in the summer.
"To be fair, Stoke have been very good to me over the years," he told The Sentinel.
"But I am surprised they haven't accepted an offer because I'm obviously not playing at the moment."
