Barnsley have pulled off a major coup in the summer transfer market by making winger-cum-striker Kelvin Etuhu their first signing of the close season.
It is a signing 12 months in the making after a move for the former Manchester City man fell through last summer after he failed a medical but Reds boss Keith Hill has finally got his man.
Only a few days ago though it seemed Etuhu was set to sign an extension to his contract at Portsmouth, who he joined in January, with Hill even publicly admitting defeat in his chase of the Nigerian.
But Etuhu is believed to have had a last minute change of heart and opted to move to South Yorkshire, stating he has a lot of faith in Hill to get the best out of him.
Etuhu has signed an initial one-year contract at Oakwell.
