Neil Austin, Daniel Nardiello, Paul Reid and Bobby Hassell all celebrated making major milestones on Saturday in the away game against Leeds United.
Neil Austin made his 150th appearance in the red and white of Barnsley on Saturday. The 23-year-old nicknamed "Aussie" came up through the club's youth system and has proved to be quite a success. Austin is yet to score for the Reds in 150 games.
Right-back Bobby Hassell was another to make a milestone appearance. Bobby played his 100th game at Elland Road. The 26-year-old signed from Mansfield Town in 2004 and is the one of the only signings still evident from the nightmare reign of Paul Hart. Bobby has scored 3 goals in 100 games.
Daniel Nardiello also made his 100th appearance for the Reds, and marked it with a first half brace. Nardiello initially signed on loan from Manchester United and proved to be a hit with the fans, scoring two on his debut in the 3-0 win at home to Blackpool under Icelandic boss Gudjon Thordarson. Daniel signed permanently for the Reds in 2005 and has bagged a total of 24 goals in his 100 appearances.
Skipper Paul Reid also celebrated a century of Tykes appearances in the home game against Ipswich Town. The 24-year-old captain signed from Northampton Town and has scored six goals from the centre of defence. He made his debut in the 1-1 draw with MK Dons on the first day of the 2004-2005 season, scoring in the process.
The Reds' longest serving player though, is centre-half Antony Kay who has clocked up an impressive 184 games for the Reds, scoring a total of 12 goals, including a penalty in the Cardiff shootout.
