Reds manager Gudjon Thordarsson admits we are massively behind schedule as he prepares his squad for the new season.
The Reds have been forced to postpone two friendlies and is still subject to a transfer embargo because its takeover deal has yet to be ratified by the FA.
Thordarsson Thordasson told Radio Sheffield: "I wanted to do something in the transfer market but my hands are tied.
Reds preperations hampered by takeover stalling
"I can release players but I can't bring them in - for example I don't have a senior goalkeeper in the squad at the moment.
"It's a difficult situation because once we get clearance we might be only 10 days away from the start of the season.
"That means that my preparation is not the same as all the other managers."
