Icelandic winger Emil Hallfredsson has played his last game for Barnsley after scans confirmed the on loan man broke his foot in the first half of the 0-0 draw with Sheffield United on Saturday.
The 26 year old has been at Oakwell on a season long loan from Italian Serie B strugglers Reggina but will now miss the final four games of that deal.
Manager Mark Robins told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"Emil has broken his fifth metatarsal and that is his season over. He will not feature for the team again this campaign".
