Barnsley have sealed a deadline day season long loan deal for Crystal Palace’s Peter Ramage.
The 29-year-old defender has been at Selhurst Park for two years and played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League last season when he made 41 Championship appearances.
The former Newcastle, and QPR player has fallen down the pecking order though this summer as Ian Holloway signed players with more Premier League experience and his only appearance so far in 2013-2014 was in the 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat to Bristol City.
Ramage, who can operate at right back or centre half signed a new two year contract at Palace this summer and will remain at Oakwell for the rest of this season, wearing the number three shirt.
