Barnsley could be set to make their seventh summer signing after rumours circulated on social media that Coventry City winger Carl Baker was at Oakwell for yesterday's 1-1 friendly draw with Hull City.
The 31-year-old was reportedly spotted in the corner stand for the match, with reports suggesting he will become a Barnsley player on Monday.
The Reds are seeking a winger after losing both Tomasz Cywka and Jim O'Brien this summer, the latter of which incidentally signed for Baker's current club Coventry last month.
Baker has been with the Sky Blues since 2010, making 160 appearances for the club and became club captain in 2012. He has previously played for Southport, Morecambe and Stockport County, before his £300,000 move to the Midlands four years ago.
