Sheffield United trialist Kylie Nix could be about to seal a loan deal at Oakwell until the end of the season after impressing in the reserves.
At the moment The Reds don’t have a natural left footed winger like Nix is with right footed Martin Devaney occupying the left midfield slot.
Andy Ritchie told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk:
"Hopefully we will be able to keep Kyle with us until the end of the campaign. I have spoken with the chairman and we would like to take him on loan until the end of the season.
"Kyle is happy with that and it would also give us a chance to have an extended look at him.
"He is a left-sided player who is very technically gifted. He is an out and out left winger and we do not have that at the moment".
