Striker Marc Richards is set to sign a new contract with The Reds today which will keep him at the club until 2007.
When Richards first signed for the club in the summer the deal only ran until the New Year but a series of impressive performances has encouraged boss Andy Ritchie to extend the deal.
Ritchie told the Official website:
"Marc will hopefully complete the formalities today and we have agreed a new deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2007"
Meanwhile Daniel Nardiello could be on the bench for tomorrows crunch local derby with Huddersfield.
Nardiello was carried off with a torn hamstring at Bradford last month but has made a remarkable recovery.
Ritchie told the Official Site:
" Daniel will be ok. He has trained well and is fit enough for a place on the bench"
