Ridsdale still interested in Reds takeover

Speculation is rife that Peter Ridsdale and financial backer Patrick Cryne are about to launch a renewed bid for the Reds.

"Were the club still available, I would still be interested in it, although I don't know if it currently is," Ridsdale told BBC Radio Sheffield.

Sean Lewis now owns Barnsley FC 2002, and is in negotiations with the Football League and the FA to get back the club's league share.

Until he manages to do so, the club remains up for grabs.......

With only four weeks until the start of the season, I am once again worried about the future of Barnsley F.C.
