Ridsdale takeover will be completed within EIGHT days
Former Leeds United chairman Ridsdale moved to reassure supporters over the club's future last night in the wake of an article by departing owner Peter Doyle in the match programme.
Doyle agreed to sell his interests in both club and land to Ridsdale for £5.5m two weeks ago but has not yet surrendered control.
That will only happen once solicitors have completed all the necessary paperwork and then Ridsdale will sell the land to a new company set up by Cryne and the local council.
Meanwhile, Barnsley MBC today voted in favour of joint venture agreement between the local authority and Patrick Cryne to safeguard the future of the Reds by purchasing land and property at Oakwell.
