Ridsdale wants Gudjon at Oakwell

Reds chairman Peter Ridsdale has pledged to hand manager Gudjon Thordarson a new contract.

Ridsdale wants to show that the club see the Icelandic coach in their future plans and will hand Thordarson an initial one-year contract.

Ridsdale said: "It is a sign of our commitment to Gudjon and an answer to those who say that we have someone else in mind."

I thought Gudjon and the recently departed Ronnie Glavin signed longer contracts when Peter Doyle was in charge? Anyone...........
