It is with great sadness this evening that Exeter City striker Adam Stansfield has lost his battle with bowel cancer at the age of 31.
The Grecians frontman was diagnosed in April and has lost his four month battle with the illness.
A prolific goalscorer in the lower leagues, Stansfield scored 76 goals in 250 appearances. His former clubs include Yeovil, Hereford and Exeter.
