New Reds caretaker boss Andy Ritchie was happy with his debut win saying:
"I couldn't have asked for any more from the lads after the upheaval of the last few days.
Ritchie delighted with victory over Posh
"Although Peterborough are struggling at the wrong end of the table this isn't an easy place to come to and get a result so all credit to the boys for doing that."
Meanwhile, disappointed Peterborough boss Barry Fry said: 'We missed the best chance of the first half when Boucaud fired over and in the second half we changed the system and dominated the game. They got a goal against the run of play with a disputed penalty and we fought back and showed good character. Andy Legg scored a great goal and we had plenty of chances after that and with just a few minutes to go we made some horrendous errors at the back and lost 3-1. It's very disappointing and the lads are very downhearted.

'The three goals we conceded were awful. We had some great opportunities and we have been unlucky on other occasions. As long as it's mathematically possible we will keep fighting and grinding out the results. We didn't get much luck and we made mistakes, that is a remedy for disaster.'
