Reds caretaker-manager Andy Ritchie apologised to the fans after the 5-0 humiliation at Port Vale.
Ritchie said: "No-one goes through a career without suffering a drubbing and that's certainly what we have had.
"We have had a heart to heart in the dressing room. My players are full of remorse and we are all very sorry for the fans who came down here."
Hopefully they'll prove it against Colchester in our final home game of the season on Saturday.
