Barnsley Boss Andy Ritchie has decided against keeping defender Arthur Gnohere after the giant defender spent a few days on trial at Oakwell last week.
Ritchie sited the fact that Gnohere was still a month away from full fitness and that Matt Carbon. Antony Kay and Neil Austin would all be available to provide cover soon.
He told the Official Website:
He is about a month away from full fitness. We simply don't have the time or the money to keep him,"
Meanwhile Ritchie has rubbished reports that The Reds are chasing Aston Villa youngster Shane Paul.
Several newspapers had rumored that The Reds were dueling with Saturday's opponents Blackpool for the striker's services on loan, Ritchie though told the Official Website this was rubbish:
" We have no interest in Shane Paul. He is too small for the type of striker we would want at the moment.
His name did crop up when I spoke to Aston Villa last week but we were enquiring about someone else"
