Marc Roberts and Josh Scowen have today sealed their exits from Oakwell. As expected Roberts has signed a five-year deal with Birmingham City, joining for a fee of around £3.5m.
The Barnsley captain made 84 appearances for his hometown team after joining from FC Halifax in the summer of 2015 and scored five goals – one of which came in a 3-0 win at his new club in December.
Scowen meanwhile has moved back down south to join Queens Park Rangers. The 24-year-old midfielder joined The Reds in January 2015 and made 108 appearances, scoring 12 goals but turned down a new deal and has moved to Loftus Road on a three-year contract.
