Roy wary of Reds backlash

Chesterfield boss Roy McFarland is wary of a Reds backlash at Oakwell on Saturday after the 7-1 hammering at Manchester City in the Carling Cup.

The Spireites boss said: "Hopefully their confidence will have taken a bit of a knock."

"It's never nice to lose seven goals or go out of a cup competition.

"But putting things in perspective, they were playing against a Premiership side.

"Paul will now be looking for a reaction from his players - especially in a local derby."
