Barnsley FC will hand documents to the Football League in the next 24 hours that will should see the club end a nine-month nightmare and finally exit administration.
Lewis said: “The League are an impartial body and it is not a question of them rejecting my takeover of the club. Barnsley Football Club is in administration and must come out. We will do this by meeting the criteria, getting the share reissued and then its business as usual.
“Sean Lewis does not come into that equation. It does not matter about my looks, size, colour or religion – all the football authorities want to know is if we meet their criteria. That is all they require to transfer the share and we have satisfied the criteria and will await the footballing authorities’ approval. I can assure every supporter that all footballing authorities want to see Barnsley Football Club playing in Division Two next season – and we will be.
“It is business as usual at Oakwell and we are taking giant strides towards a bigger and better future for Barnsley FC”.
