Barnsley Football Club have reduced season ticket prices for the second successive season. Last summer owner Patrick Cryne revealed that £10 would be coming off season ticket prices for the 2008-2009, plus an incentive where Under 11's could have a free season ticket if purchased with an adult ticket.
Now after a pretty disappointing campaign prices have been slashed by £20 to bring season ticket prices for 2009-2010 to under £300.
A statement on www.barnsleyfc.co.uk reports:
Adult season tickets for 2009/2010 have been reduced by £20 with juvenile U18s and senior citizens' prices also cut as the Reds head into another campaign in the Coca Cola Championship. Season ticket prices for youngsters under the age of 12 remain at just £25!
After the success of the Club's 'Stronger Together' initiative, Barnsley Football Club are delighted to announce that youngsters under the age of 12 (at the start of the new season), will be able to watch all the action for free when accompanied by a paying adult as the Reds again look to build for the future at Oakwell.
Adults will be able to buy a season ticket in the CK Beckett Stand for £270. Elsewhere in the ground adult prices are:
East and West Upper £340
East Upper (Family Area) £330
East and West Lower £290
Disabled Corner £200
Match day ticket prices will remain at the current rate.
Season ticket renewal packs, including a letter from Patrick Cryne, will be posted out in the very near future.

The free season ticket can only be claimed when purchasing an adult season ticket, Only one free under 12's season ticket will be issued per adult season ticket, Any additional under 12's will be charged at the normal rate of £25, Any child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when entering the Stadium and for the duration of the game. An adult is classed as a person aged 18 years and over. The free under 12's season ticket cannot be claimed in conjunction with any Under 18 season tickets. In certain circumstances proof of relationship with the under 12 may be required to validate the season ticket application.
