Reds chairman Gordon Shepherd says Paul Hart could add to his squad this season.
Shepherd says Reds could strengthen squad
He said: "I think if push came to shove and we felt that by getting the right player to ensure promotion, then we would be foolish not to. However, if you asked 8,000 fans in this club who that player was, you'd get 8,000 different answers.
"Paul Hart and the board believe in this squad. We think we've got an excellent squad. Paul has not asked for anyone, absolutely not asked for anyone.
"We do have a good squad. Man for man we're as good as anyone in this league."
However Reds manager Paul Hart is in no rush to spend the money made available.

He said: "They (the board) are willing to support any ideas and we have our list of players that we've been working on all winter".
"If I feel the need to bring someone in I know where to go and that is encouraging.
"But I won't make a move until I'm absolutely sure everything is right - I don't feel under any pressure to go into the market at the moment."
