Reds skipper Paul Reid will have a scan on his injured hamstring on Thursday as the club fears our influential skipper could be missing for up to SIX weeks.
Reid who took a real battering in the 2-2 draw with Blackpool at the weekend went off a couple of minutes from the end after pulling up in agony and also had to have five stitches inserted in an eye wound.
Physio Rick Holden told the Official Site: “We are just letting nature take its course at the moment and allowing everything to settle down before Paul goes for a further scan on Thursday.
We will be able to see more clearly and be in a better position to make an assessment then.
It is nowhere near as bad as it was on Saturday because Paul suffered some muscle cramping in his hamstring as well, which was extremely painful. This has eased now and he is getting better.
We will know more later this week when everything has calmed down
