Peter Ramage is out for up to six weeks with the thigh injury he suffered in the 2-0 defeat at QPR last time out but Jean-Yves Mvoto has recovered from his ankle injury and should step in.
Lewin Nyatanga, who has still not appeared for the club since returning this summer is unlikely to be ready to start but could be on the bench.
Striker Marcus Pedersen is set for his first start since the 31st August after fully recovering from his horrible ankle gash.

Interesting Stats
Although Barnsley have won three more Oakwell meetings than Middlesbrough, the visitors have netted six more goals.
Middlesbrough have kept just one clean sheet in 2013-2014 and have managed just one in their last 15 games in all competitions.
The Reds have lost eight of their first 11 league matches for the first time since 1966-67 They did recover however to finish 16th that campaign.
If they lose to Middlesbrough tomorrow they will create an unwanted piece of history. No Barnsley side has EVER lost nine of their first 12 league matches.
