Luke Steele has revealed his desperation to return to Oakwell on loan so he can appear in the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley. Steele, who performed a starring role in the win at Liverpool and kept a clean sheet in the success over Chelsea, has returned to parent club West Brom after The Reds refused to pay the full £8,000 a week in wages to keep him until the end of the season. With West Brom also refusing to budge, Steele can see the prospect of missing out on something he did a lot to achieve. It is something he dreads as he told the Express and Star:
"Unless both clubs can reach an agreement I'm going to be watching Barnsley's semi-final day out at Wembley on TV. It should have been a really simple deal to carry on my loan until the end of the season.
"But the deal is getting complicated and I am running the risk of missing out on the biggest day of my professional career".
