Reds FA Cup hero Luke Steele has been named "Player of the Round" for the Fifth Round after his incredible performance in the 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield. Despite being beaten by Dirk Kuyt in the first half, debutant Steele pulled off a series of fine saves to keep Liverpool at bay before Brian Howard struck the last gasp winner for Barnsley.
Steele was competing with Cardiff's Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Portsmouth's David James and Manchester United's Wayne Rooney for the award.
Steele (who is set to face Chelsea in the Quarter-Finals at Oakwell) will be at Wembley after winning VIP hospitality for themselves and their guest at The FA Cup Final on Saturday 17 May 2008.
He also wins training equipment to donate to a school of his choice.
