The Reds have today been heavily linked with a move for 22-year-old Dijon striker Mamadou Thiam.
The Senegalese frontman made his debut for the French side Dijon FCO in 2015 and has made 25 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, scoring three goals. He spent last season on loan with Ligue 2 Clermont Foot, scoring 8 in 32 games.
He has also represented his country at under-20 level, earning 5 caps and scoring twice.
Reds head coach Paul Heckingbottom was critical of the club's transfer policy so far this summer after Saturday's 4-0 friendly defeat to Rotherham United.
He only has Tom Bradshaw, Ike Ugbo, Stefan Payne and Shaun Tuton as his striking options with just five days to go before the season's curtain raiser at Bristol City.
