The Reds have made their second signing of transfer deadline day with the loan signing of West Brom's Portuguese playmaker Filipe Teixeira.
The 29-year-old signed for the Baggies in 2007 and has made 40 league appearances and netted five goals, including one against the Reds in September 2007.
He has spent time with FC Felgueiras, FC Istres and Paris St. Germain before signing for homeland outfit Academica de Coimbra. He suffered a cruiciate ligament injury in 2008 which kept him out of all but a month of the last campaign.
Reds manager Mark Robins spoke of his new signing:
"Filipe is technically a top, top player. He is a playmaker who was instrumental in helping West Brom win promotion a couple of seasons ago. He will come here initially for a month but his contract is up at the end of the season and will give both parties the chance to have a much closer look at each other. "Filipe needs to play games and if we can get him playing to the top of his ability then he will be a very, very good addition to our squad and will benefit us greatly".
