The Reds have made a deadline day swoop by clinching a loan deal for Burnley's young striker Jay Rodriguez.
The 20-year-old forward has earned rave reviews from the Burnley fans on their 'Mad' site and will join the Reds for a month.
He has scored goals in the Carling Cup against Fulham and Tottenham and in 25 league appearances, he has netted twice for the Clarets.
He has spent time on loan with Scottish side Stirling and Mark Robins spoke of the signing of the youngster:
"Jay is a young player who I have watched for a while. I believe he will go on to become and established Premier League player in the future. He is a clever player with a lot of ability and someone who scored some good goals.
"He needs to play matches and he will get that opportunity with us here. I am sure both Jay and Filipe (Teixeira) will be warmly welcomed by everybody at Barnsley FC and we are all looking forward to seeing them in action for us".
