Barnsley have made two deadline day moves, adding two new midfielders to the squad for another relegation dogfight.
The first to join was Arsenal central midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong, who has signed for an undisclosed fee on a deal until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old has been at Arsenal since the age of 9, and has made 16 senior appearances for the Gunners, including in the Champions League. He has spent time on loan with Wolves, Charlton and Fulham.
The second player to arrive at Oakwell today is former Doncaster Rovers winger Martin Woods who joins until the end of the season on a free transfer.
He had previously played for Rotherham United after starting out in the north east with Sunderland.
It isn't known whether Reds boss Danny Wilson is still keen to add to his squad before the 11pm deadline, but he has already strengthened this window by bringing in 8 players.
So far the Reds have signed Brek Shea, Liam Lawrence, Nick Proschwitz, Ryan McLaughlin, Jack Hunt and Iain Turner before today's two acquisitions.
