Reds goalkeeper Ross Turnbull has been banned for Saturday's trip to Stockport County after his red card against Huddersfield Town.
Nick Colgan therefore gets a chance to reclaim his position. He told the Barnsley FC official website: "Now I've got my chance it's up to me to take it with both hands,"
"I went away on international duty and was disappointed not to get back in at Barnsley.
"It was the manager's decision and, although I didn't agree, he's paid to make those decisions.
"In the last eight games while we've been unbeaten, I'd not argue about being left out - the lads have down wonderfully well, but now I've got my chance it's up to me to take it."
